TY - JOUR T1 - Rare Simultaneous Occurrence of Trapezoid and Scaphoid Fractures: A Case Report TT - JF - iums-jros JO - iums-jros VL - 7 IS - 3 UR - http://jros.iums.ac.ir/article-1-2113-en.html Y1 - 2020 SP - 135 EP - 140 KW - Trapezoid KW - Scaphoid KW - Fracture KW - Carpal KW - Wrist KW - Hand surgery N2 - Isolated fractures of the trapezoid are very rare. Of all of the fractures of the carpus, the most common happens for the scaphoid, which represents 68.2% of all carpal fractures. In contrast, trapezoid fractures represent 0.4% of all carpal injuries. We present a rare case of a trapezoid fracture associated with a scaphoid fracture that was successfully treated with percutaneous fixation with a headless cannulated compression screw and the patient had a full functional recovery.
